These were manufactured at an\u00a0<strong>average temperature of 131 \u00b0C<\/strong>, that is, about\u00a0<strong>30 \u00b0C below<\/strong>\u00a0the typical temperature of conventional hot production, thanks to the use of a\u00a0<strong>bitumen foamer<\/strong>\u00a0in the manufacturing plant.<\/p>\n<p>According to the results of the\u00a0<strong>production control and on-site control tests<\/strong>, the semi-hot mixes have satisfied the\u00a0<strong>volumetric and mechanical requirements<\/strong>\u00a0of equivalent conventional hot bituminous mixes. The article in the magazine\u00a0<strong>RUTAS (N\u00ba195)<\/strong>\u00a0shows, in addition to the temperature reduction procedure used and the results of the tests, the\u00a0<strong>economic, technical and environmental advantages<\/strong>\u00a0of producing bituminous mixtures at low temperatures are reviewed. More specifically, they have tried to quantify those obtained in this case, concluding that\u00a0<strong>life cycle analysis<\/strong>\u00a0is the ideal tool to adequately assess the set of improvements found.
